Professional Speaker Twist Lock Connector
A four-pole speaker twist lock connector for amplifier-to-loudspeaker connections in professional audio. The twist lock mechanism gives a secure, vibration-resistant connection that resists accidental disconnection on stage, and the four-pole layout supports single-amp and bi-amp wiring configurations.
Compatibility
This connector is designed as an NL4-compatible speaker twist lock connector — it mates with industry-standard four-pole speaker twist lock chassis connectors found on amplifiers, powered loudspeakers and stage boxes. It is a compatible equivalent, not a product of Neutrik; speakON® is a registered trademark of Neutrik AG.
Construction
- Four-pole configuration, contacts marked 1+, 1−, 2+, 2−
- Glass-fiber reinforced plastic housing for impact resistance
- Tool-free chuck-type cable retention for fast field assembly
- Compact body suited to tight rack and panel space
Typical Applications
- Amplifier to loudspeaker connections in PA and touring systems
- Powered speaker links and stage monitor feeds
- Bi-amp wiring using the second pole pair
- Rental inventory requiring fast connector replacement
Which pole count do I need?
The number in a twist lock format name counts pin sets, and one pin set is one speaker circuit: one positive contact and one negative contact. That is the whole decision.

This page covers the four-pole format, which is the one most often specified because it carries two circuits: a single four-conductor cable can feed two loudspeakers, or one loudspeaker in bi-amp wiring. Its contacts are marked 1+, 1−, 2+, 2− — 1+/1− is the first circuit and 2+/2− the second. If your system uses a different pole count, state the format and the number of circuits when you enquire and we will confirm what fits.
Not sure whether the format or the cable sets the limit? The pin-set rule, the polarity markings and the bi-amp assignment are explained in NL2 vs NL4 vs NL8: speaker twist lock connectors.
FAQ
Is this connector compatible with speakON connectors?
Yes. It is an NL4-compatible four-pole speaker twist lock connector designed to mate with standard NL4 chassis connectors. speakON® is a registered trademark of Neutrik AG; this is a compatible equivalent product, not a Neutrik product.
Is this a 2-pole or 4-pole connector?
Four-pole, allowing one cable to carry two speaker circuits — useful for bi-amp wiring or for running two loudspeakers on one cable.
What cable size does it accept?
The chuck-type cable retention clamps the cable jacket without tools. Contact LBS with your cable O.D. and conductor size for confirmation.
How are the four poles marked?
1+, 1−, 2+ and 2−. The pair 1+/1− is the first speaker circuit and 2+/2− the second, which is what makes this connector usable for bi-amp wiring or for two loudspeakers on one four-conductor cable.
