It runs two editions a year — Ho Chi Minh City in May, Hanoi in October — and for a cable supplier it is the most efficient week of the year to meet distributors, rental houses and installers in one place.

This guide covers what the show is, when each edition runs, and what to check before you specify cable for a Vietnamese project.

What PLASE Show is

PLASE stands for Professional Lighting And Sound Equipment Show. The 2026 edition was the 14th, and it is the largest international exhibition of professional audio and lighting equipment in Vietnam.

Item

Ho Chi Minh City edition

Hanoi edition

2026 dates

15–17 May 2026

17–19 October 2026

Venue

WTC EXPO International Exhibition Center, Binh Duong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City

VEC Exhibition Center, Dong Anh, Hanoi

Opening hours

10:00–20:00

09:00–19:00

Scale (Hanoi 2026)

—

~13,000 m², ~250 booths, 12,000+ visitors expected

Focus

Southern market and surrounding provinces

Northern market, with an outdoor line-array demo area

The Hanoi edition is the larger of the two and includes an outdoor performance area where line array systems are demonstrated at volume. That matters for cable buyers more than it sounds: a system demonstrated outdoors is a system whose cable runs are long, and long runs expose capacitance and shield quality in a way a showroom never does.

Why the two editions are not interchangeable

Buyers who attend only one edition see half the market. The southern edition draws distributors and installers working on hospitality, karaoke and entertainment projects; the northern edition draws the rental and touring companies and the outdoor event market. The specification conversation differs:

Application

What changes in the cable specification

Karaoke and hospitality install

Fixed runs, short lengths, jacket appearance and termination quality matter more than weight

Rental and touring

Handling, coil memory, jacket abrasion and connector retention matter as much as the copper

Outdoor and event

Jacket material, UV and water exposure, and the ability to re-terminate on site

Houses of worship and theatre

Long installed runs, low capacitance, and consistency between production batches

What to bring to a cable booth

One printed page per product, with four lines. This is the single change that turns a show visit into a purchase decision:

Construction — conductor count, size in mm² or AWG, stranded or solid.

Screening — none, foil, braid, spiral, or a combination.

Jacket and environment — jacket material, outer diameter, and where the cable lives.

Delivery format — reel, drum, pull box or coil, and length per unit.

A factory will read all four lines and mark what it can build. A trading desk will nod at all four and quote from a list. That difference is the most valuable thing you learn at any show.

Five questions to ask at the stand

Give me the model code, not the category. “DMX cable” is a category. A model code is a repeatable purchase order. LBS builds single-shielded DMX512 models such as the 128 / 2 × 0.35 spiral-shielded construction and double-shielded variants across its DMX and lighting control range.

Which part of the cable carries the shield? Spiral, braid and foil behave differently at the end of a long chain, and the answer changes the capacitance figure.

Show me the conductor. A strip-back sample on the counter tells you stranding, copper colour and whether the foil is bonded. A catalogue photo tells you nothing.

What is made on your own line? Extrusion, stranding, braiding and assembly are separate capabilities. For OEM work, see how LBS describes its OEM and ODM process and its manufacturing and quality process.

Send the datasheet by email. A file you can archive is a file you can hold a supplier to. A photo of a monitor will not survive your purchasing system.

Specifying network and loudspeaker cable for Vietnamese venues

Two cable families cause most of the after-sales conversations in this market.

Network cable for audio over IP. The category label is a claim until the datasheet shows conductor size and bandwidth. LBS publishes screened and unscreened models as LBSFTP-C6A, LBSSFTP-C6A and LBSUTP-C6A, and the full network cable range covers Cat5E through Cat6A. For fixed installs the shield type decides whether the cable tolerates being run beside mains; for touring the jacket decides whether it survives the truck.

Loudspeaker cable. The loudspeaker cable range covers 2-core and 4-core constructions from 0.5 mm² to 6.0 mm². For long installed runs the conductor size matters more than the brand printed on the jacket, and for rental stock the jacket compound matters more than either.

Connectors are specified separately because termination changes the answer more than the copper does — the LBS connector range is listed on its own for that reason.

LBS AudioCable at PLASE Show

LBS (Linkwell Broaden Sonitive) Guangdong Cable Technology Co., Ltd. exhibited at both PLASE Show editions — Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi — in 2026 and in 2025, showing professional audio cable across its loudspeaker, audio signal, DMX and lighting control, network, AV and connector ranges. At the Hanoi edition the stand was in Hall 6, stand T18.

Buyers who want to work through a specification sheet outside the show dates can send it through the enquiry form on this site. The same four lines — construction, screening, jacket, delivery format — apply whether the conversation happens at a booth in Dong Anh or by email.

A broader set of buyer-facing guides on specification, termination and selection is collected in the resources section.

PLASE Show is Vietnam’s largest professional audio and lighting exhibition, running in Ho Chi Minh City in May and Hanoi in October.
